Kia Syros EV Set for July Debut – Key Details Out

Syros EV debut in July 42kWh battery expected New rival for Nexon EV

Kia has officially confirmed that the Syros EV will make its debut in July 2026. The announcement was made during the brand’s investor presentation, highlighting its growing focus on electric vehicles in India.

This will be Kia’s second locally produced electric vehicle, strengthening its presence in the growing EV market.

Design to Mirror the ICE Model

The Syros EV has already been spotted testing on Indian roads. Based on the spy shots, the overall design will remain similar to the ICE version.

However, it will get EV-specific updates like a closed grille and possibly new alloy wheels to give it a distinct identity.

Battery and Performance Expectations

The Syros EV is likely to come with a 42kWh battery pack, paired with an electric motor that delivers around 133 bhp and 255 Nm of torque.

This setup is likely to focus on offering a good balance between performance and efficiency for daily use.

Feature-Loaded and Practical Cabin

The regular Kia Syros is known for its feature-rich cabin and practical interior space.

The EV version is expected to carry forward these strengths, making it a strong option for buyers looking for a compact electric SUV with modern features.

Competition in the Segment

The compact electric SUV space is gradually gaining traction in India. With the arrival of the Syros EV, the competition is set to intensify further.

It will take on rivals like the Tata Nexon EV and the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.

As more options enter the segment, buyers can expect better features and more competitive pricing.
