The newly launched Kia Syros has received a positive response from buyers. The sub-4 meter SUV has received over 20,163 bookings. Kia had opened the pre-orders for the Syros compact SUV on January 3, 2025, while the prices were revealed on February 1, 2025.
Syros Petrol - 67% of total bookings

The petrol-powered Kia Syros is in high demand. The Syros petrol accounts for 67% of the total bookings, while the remaining 33% customers opted for the diesel engines. In fact, the top-spec variants of the Syros accounts for 46% of the total bookings. Kia claims that Glacier White Pearl colour is the most preferred among customers with 32% of the total orders. The Aurora Black Pearl and Frost Blue accounts for 26% and 20% of total pre-orders, respectively.
The Kia Syros has been launched at an attractive price range of Rs 8.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can opt for ADAS features in the top-end variant at an additional cost of Rs 80,000.
The new Syros comes with several segment-first features including the Over-the-Air software update system, which allows automatic updates to 16 vehicle controllers without visiting a dealership. The compact SUV is equipped with the latest Kia Connect 2.0 system, offering more than 80 features.
Kia said that 18% of customers are opting for HTX+ (O) ADAS equipped variant. This model offers 16 autonomous LEVEL-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display Panel, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, and segment-first rear seat recline, slide and ventilation.
The Syros is available with two engine options including a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel. While the former is good for 118bhp and 172Nm of torque, the oil burner produces 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual as standard, a 7-speed DCT with petrol and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic with diesel.
