Kia has introduced the new SUV, Syros, which includes several new features that set the vehicle apart from the highly selling Kia Seltos. If you are looking forward to purchasing a compact SUV, here's what is different in the Kia Syros and why it may become your first choice.
Perhaps, one of the most significant upgrades of the Kia Syros is the large infotainment screen. While the Syros flaunts a 12.3-inch display, the Kia Seltos has a smaller 10.25-inch screen. Although both SUVs have modern infotainment systems, the Syros offers an even bigger and immersive screen for entertainment and navigation purposes. Moreover, the Syros features a 12.3-inch all-digital driver's display, but the Seltos features only a 10.25-inch digital driver display.
The climate control in the Kia Syros has a 5-inch display between the big screens. It makes handling the climate settings easy because it uses a touch interface. This makes the interior pretty tech-savvy to look at. The other model, Kia Seltos, has conventional physical control buttons and rotary knobs instead. Therefore, the Syros' digital control system presents a more modern and usable climate control system.
The Kia Syros brings comfort to the next level with ventilated seats both at the front and the rear for all the passengers. For the first time in a sub-four-meter SUV in India, this comes as ventilation to the rear seats which are normally present in bigger cars. This means the Seltos ventilated seats can only be found in the front. Syros has the most comfort to every occupant of the car.
Kia Syros brings the function of sliding into the rear seats, which has never been observed in its class. In addition to rear seat ventilation, this feature enables the ease of adjustment of the passenger's seating position for improved comfort and space. This feature also assists in maximizing boot space if the rear seats are slide into their forward-most position. Sliding rear seats are not available in the Kia Seltos. Although the Seltos has rear reclining seats and a 60:40 seat back split fold, but only in the top variants.
Kia Syros happens to be the first mass car in India to equip itself with side parking sensors which give additional support while parking inside tight spaces. Alongside its front and rear parking sensors, the Syros boasts the presence of side sensors making parking much easier as against the Seltos offering only front and rear sensors which may not be quite handy in cramped parking.
The Kia Syros is the perfect choice if you are in the market for a compact SUV that provides cutting-edge technology, more comfort, and better parking assistance. With larger screens, rear-seat ventilation, sliding rear seats, and side parking sensors, it provides more value than the Kia Seltos. Be it smoother driving, more comfort for the passengers, or better convenience, the Syros raises the bar in the sub-four-meter SUV segment.
