Mahindra & Mahindra introduced the BE 6 and XEV 9e born-electric SUVs in November last year, initially revealing the price of the base variant. The prices of the top-end variant were announced in January, while the full price list was revealed a few days ago. A total of 1,837 units of these electric SUVs were dispatched during these two months. The carmaker has manufactured 2,281 units of the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e so far, and these numbers are likely to be increased in the coming months.
Official bookings for both EVs are scheduled to begin on 14th February. Deliveries of the top-end Pack 3 variants will start in mid-March, followed by the Pack Three Select in June, Pack Two in July and Pack One and Pack One Above in August, 2025.
The Mahindra BE 6 has been offered within the price range of Rs 18.90 lakh – Rs 26.90 lakh. Prices of the Mahindra XEV 9e start from Rs 21.90 lakh and go up to Rs 30.50 lakh. Both EVs come with the 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options, delivering a maximum power of 231bhp with 380Nm and 286bhp with 380Nm, respectively. The BE 6, with its compact and lightweight body built, offers an ARAI-claimed range of 556km with the 59kWh battery and 682km with the 79kWh battery pack. The XEV 9e SUV’s 59kWh and 79kWh versions promise an electric range of 542km and 656km, respectively.
Both EVs underpins the INGLO platform; however, their dimensions are different. The overall length, width and height of the BE 6 stand at 4,371mm, 1,907mm and 1,627mm, respectively. It has a wheelbase of 2,775mm and offers a boot space of 455-litres along with a frunk of 45-litres. The Mahindra XEV 9e measures 4,790mm in length, 1,950mm in width and 1,690mm in height. The wheelbase of both EVs is similar – i.e. 2,775mm. Being a larger EV, the XEV 9e provides a cargo space of 665-litres and additional frunk of 150-litres.
