7 New Maruti SUVs Coming – Full Details Inside

Maruti to launch 7 new SUVs by 2032. Petrol, CNG, hybrid and EV options planned. New compact SUV and next-gen models coming.

Maruti Suzuki is preparing a major shift in its future lineup, with plans to introduce seven new SUVs in India by 2032. The move highlights how strongly the company is betting on SUVs as demand for this body style continues to grow across segments.

What makes this plan more interesting is the wide range of fuel options Maruti is working on, covering everything from traditional engines to electrified powertrains.

Focus on Multiple Powertrains

Instead of relying on a single technology, Maruti is spreading its bets across petrol, CNG/CBG, mild-hybrid, strong hybrid and fully electric options.

This approach will allow the brand to stay flexible as the market evolves. While some buyers may continue with petrol or CNG, others can shift towards hybrid or electric options depending on their needs.

New Compact SUV in the Pipeline

Alongside its existing lineup, Maruti is also working on a new small SUV that is expected to arrive by 2028. This model will likely take on rivals like the Tata Punch.

The upcoming SUV is expected to follow a multi-powertrain strategy, with petrol and CNG versions, along with a fully electric variant. This could make it one of the most versatile offerings in its segment.

Existing SUVs to Move to Next Generation

Maruti already sells a wide range of SUVs, including the Maruti Brezza, Maruti Fronx, Maruti Jimny and Maruti Grand Vitara.

By 2032, all of these models are expected to be replaced with new-generation versions. Depending on the segment, these could also get hybrid or electric powertrain options, making the lineup more future-ready.

Strong Push Towards SUVs

Maruti may have entered the SUV space later than some rivals, but it has quickly gained momentum. The company’s share in the SUV segment has grown from 16.8 percent to 19.3 percent in FY26, showing a clear upward trend.

With more models planned, this share is expected to increase further in the coming years.

Hatchbacks and Sedans Will Stay

Even with this strong SUV focus, Maruti is not planning to move away from its popular hatchbacks and sedans. Models like the Maruti Swift, Maruti Dzire and Maruti Baleno will continue as long as there is steady demand.

This balanced approach ensures that Maruti continues to serve both traditional buyers and those looking to switch to SUVs.
