JSW MG Motor India has announced that it will soon launch the Windsor PRO, a new version of its popular electric vehicle, the MG Windsor. The PRO version will come with more features, a bigger battery, and updated styling, making it even more attractive for EV buyers in India.
The new Windsor PRO will be packed with six key upgrades:
PRO Tech, PRO Safety, PRO Interiors, PRO Convenience, PRO Style, and PRO Battery.
These updates will make the car more advanced, safer, and comfortable to drive. The aim is to give buyers more value and better performance than before.
One of the biggest improvements in the Windsor PRO is the larger 50.6 kWh battery. In the earlier model, the Windsor gave a real-world range of around 308 km, with an efficiency of 8.1 km/kWh.
With the new battery, the range could go up to 400 km on a single charge.
For comparison, the Tata Nexon EV has a 45 kWh battery and gives about 350 km of range, but it’s slightly less efficient.
The MG Windsor PRO is also likely to get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This means features like lane assist, emergency braking, and smart cruise control could be added. These systems will help make the car safer and easier to drive.
Inside the car, MG will likely make the cabin more premium and comfortable. There may be new materials, better seats, and more smart features for everyday use. The outside design could also get a fresh update to make it look sportier and more stylish.
With all these new features, the price of the MG Windsor PRO is expected to be a little higher than the current model. Right now, the Windsor costs between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). The PRO version may be slightly more expensive, but still a good value for what it offers.
