Next-generation Dzire has been launched today The latest sedan comes with notable design changes It gets a segment-first electric sunroof Powered by the same Z-Series engine as the new Swift
Maruti Suzuki has launched the fourth generation Dzire sedan in the Indian market. Starting at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the dazzling new Dzire highlights the stylish design and class-leading tech features. Like the latest Swift hatchback, the updated Dzire has also received a new Z-Series petrol engine. Bookings for the new sedan have already been opened at the token amount of Rs 11,000. Let's take a look at the new updates on the new-gen Dzire sedan.
In terms of dimensions, the updated sedan is 3995 mm long, 1735 mm wide, and 1525 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2450 mm and a ground clearance of 163 mm.

From the design angle, the fourth-gen Dzire looks quite stylish compared to the previous-gen model. It highlights a wider front grille, LED crystal vision headlamps, redesigned fog lamp housing, a well-defined shoulder line, aero boot lip spoiler, a shark fin antenna, new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and new tail lamps.

The new Dzire features a dual-tone interior and spacious cabin. Moving on to its features, Maruti offers a new set of features compared to the previous model. Some of these include a new 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, wireless charger, electric sunroof, automatic AC, Arkamys surround sense, cruise control, rear AC vents, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and Suzuki Connect.
It is available in seven exterior colour choices - Splendid Silver, Bluish Black, Magma Grey, Arctic White, Alluring Blue, Nutmeg Brown, and Gallant Red.
In the latest crash test conducted by Global NCAP, the latest Maruti Suzuki Dzire has scored 5-star safety ratings. Interestingly, it becomes the first Maruti Suzuki car to receive the full safety rating. It has a host of safety features including six airbags, 3-point seat belts for all seats, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, ESP, ISOFIX mounts, and a segment-first 360-degree camera.

Maruti Suzuki introduced the fuel-efficient Z-Series engine in the latest Swift. This 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 80 bhp with 112 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed MT and AMT. Further, the new Dzire is India's most fuel-efficient sedan. The 1.2-litre Petrol (MT) offers a mileage of 24.79 kmpl while the 1.2-litre Petrol (AMT) can deliver 25.71 kmpl of fuel efficiency. If using 1.2-litre Petrol + CNG, the Dzire can give the best 33.72 km/kg of mileage (ARAI-certified).
It is offered in four variants - LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus. Prices for the new Dzire range between Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
