New Mysterious Maruti Suzuki MPV Caught Testing For The First Time

New Maruti MPV caught testing alongside the Brezza facelift Codenamed YMC, the new MPV could be an all-electric model Ertiga will also receive a facelift in 2026

It is no secret that Maruti Suzuki is preparing a wide range of new models, including new 7-seater electric MPV and a sub-4 meter micro SUV. The company is actively testing the Brezza facelift with an underbody CNG tank. Interestingly, an all-new Maruti MPV has been spotted testing alongside the Maruti Brezza facelift. This model could either be the next-gen Ertiga and an all-new YMC electric MPV.

In the video shared by ‘Hemant On Road’, there are two heavily camouflaged test mules driving on the highway. The second model is driving at a distance, and has no clear view of its nature or design. However, it is visible that the new model will be an MPV with a modern styling.

Maruti electric MPV spotted

While details about the new MPV is yet to be revealed, we expect the new model could either be the YMC electric MPV or the new Ertiga MPV. If media reports claim that the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift could be launched by the end of 2026. The updated model could receive significant design changes along with an updated cabin.

Maruti Suzuki is also developing an all-new YMC electric MPV, which will be the second all-electric product based on the Suzuki’s eHEARTECT platform. This platform currently underpins the Suzuki e Vitara. It will directly rival the Kia Carens Clavis EV.

The Maruti YMC MPV is likely to share the e Vitara’s battery options, including 49kWh and 61kWh with front-axle-mounted electric motor. The bigger 61kWh battery version is expected to offer a claimed range of over 500km on a single charge. In a bid to increase economies of scale, we expect the new MPV to share the interior and features with the SUV.

Interestingly, Toyota will also launch its own derivative of the Maruti Suzuki YMC electric MPV. The new model is expected to be launched sometime in 2027-28.
