Tata Motors will launch 3 new cars including the Altroz facelift, Sierra and Harrier EV in the country in 2025. All three models have been caught testing multiple times on the Indian roads. The Tata Sierra will be offered with both ICE and EV powertrain options. Adding to it, the Altroz facelift will have a CNG fuel option.
Tata Motors had showcased the production-ready Harrier EV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. In fact, the SUV was previewed to select media and dealers at Tata's production facility during Tata.ev day. The electric SUV appears largely identical to the ICE version; however, it received some EV-specific changes. It gets a closed-off front grille, new bumper, LED DRLs with Welcome Function, new aero-optimized wheels, connected LED tail-lights with welcome function and tweaked bumper.
The Tata Harrier Electric will be based on the acti.ev architecture, which is versatile enough to accommodate different body styles and bigger battery packs. The SUV is likely to get a 75kWh battery pack with a dual-motor AWD setup. It is expected to offer a certified range of over 500km in a full charge.
In terms of features, the Harrier EV will have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a JBL sourced 10-speaker audio system, V2L and V2C. The SUV gets 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, all-4 disc brakes, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, ESC, TPMS, front and rear parking sensors, and LEVEL 2 ADAS tech.

Tata Motors will give a mid-life update to Altroz hatchback this year. The company has started testing the Altroz facelift including the CNG version. It will come with design and interior changes along with added features. The Tata Altroz facelift is likely to share features with the Nexon compact SUV. It could get a larger touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, an all-digital instrument console, a new two-spoke steering wheel, a touch-based HVAC panel, redesigned centre console and air con vents.
It is likely to be offered with the same set of engines including a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.2L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel. The spy images also confirm that the Altroz facelift will also be available with a CNG option.
Expected Launch - July-August 2025

It is reported that Tata Motors will first launch the Sierra ICE during festive season, before Diwali. The Tata Sierra EV will be introduced towards the fag end of this year. As a reminder, Tata Motors had showcased the near-production Sierra ICE at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The leaked patent images and spy images reveal that the production-ready Sierra will look largely identical to the original concept.
The Tata Sierra ICE will be the first Tata Motors car to offer triple screen layout. The SUV with triple screen layout was showcased at the Auto Expo in January 2025. It will have a uniquely styled dashboard that houses a full-width screen incorporating a central touchscreen unit, a digital driver's display and a passenger screen.
In terms of features, the Tata Sierra will have wireless phone charger, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, 360-degree surround view camera, and LEVEL 2 ADAS suite. It will be powered by a new 1.5L 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 167bhp and 280Nm of torque. The SUV is likely to get either a 1.5L turbo diesel or a 2.0L turbo diesel engine. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
