Next-gen Creta and Neira MPV to launch in 2027 Both are likely to be revealed at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo
Hyundai Motor India is gearing up for the launch of the Bayon B-segment SUV on October 26, 2026. After this B-segment midsize SUV, the Korean brand will two exciting new models in the Indian market in 2027. Two key models for volume and mass-market segments: the third-generation Hyundai Creta and an all-new 7-seater MPV (known as the Hyundai Neira) will be launched before the end of 2027.
These two launches aim to consolidate Hyundai’s position in the midsize SUV segment while entering the competitive 3-row family vehicle space.
Codenamed SX3, the third generation Hyundai Creta is scheduled to be launched in the country in early 2027. The SUV is expected be revealed at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The spy images give us a clear glimpse at Hyundai’s radical new design direction. Its design seems inspired by Hyundai’s global Crater Concept, featuring a parametric-inspired front grille, flanked by ultra-slim LED DRLs and a split headlamp setup.
The next-Creta will be bigger and bolder than the outgoing model, and is likely to measure close to 4.5 metres in length. The silhouette will have sharper shoulder lines, wider wheel arches and a sportier roofline. At the back, the SUV will have a completely redesigned tailgate with full-width LED taillamp and prominent bumper.
The spy images confirm that the next-gen Creta will have an all-new freestanding touchscreen infotainment unit runs on Pleos software system, and an upgraded LEVEL-2 ADAS with enhanced camera and radar sensor. It will retain the existing engine options, including a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. It will also get a strong hybrid powertrain, which is likely to utilise a 1.5-litre NA petrol clubbed to a small battery and an electric motor. It will be a front-wheel-drive SUV, and is expected to offer a mileage of over 25kmpl.

Hyundai India will finally enter the 3-row MPV segment in 2027. The company will introduce the Neira MPV in 2027, and its India debut is expected at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It is expected to be launched in the country in the first half of 2027. The upcoming 7-Seater MPV will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki XL6, Kia Carens and Kia Carens Clavis.
While the concept was a pure EV model, the India-spec model will come with Internal Combustion Engines and alternative fuel setups. The engine options could include a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L U2 CRDi diesel, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L petrol with a CNG option. Hyundai could also introduce a hybrid version at a later date.
The MPV will be offered with dual digital displays comprising a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument console. Key features include ventilated front seats, mulit-color ambient cabin lighting, roof-mounted AC for 2nd and 3rd-row passengers, foldable setback tray tables and a panoramic sunroof.
