Seeing the growing competition, Hyundai has started working on multiple new products including next generations of its existing products. The brand's two top-selling SUVs, the Creta and Venue will also enter the new generation in the next couple of years. Let's talk about these two models in detail -
Hyundai has started testing the next-gen Venue compact SUV on the Indian roads. While the official launch details are yet to be revealed, it is expected that the next-gen Hyundai Venue could go on sale in the last quarter of 2025 - most probably in October. The all-new Hyundai Venue will retain its familiar boxy design, but it is likely to get a more upright fascia and all-new rear profile. The front design will be in-sync with latest Hyundai SUVs including the Creta and Alcazar.
The cabin will receive massive changes with thoroughly redesigned dashboard and several new features including ventilated front and rear seats, a 360-degree surround view camera and Level 2 ADAS. The SUV will retain the existing powertrain options including the 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol, a 1.2L 4-cylinder NA petrol, and a 1.5L turbo diesel.
Hyundai had launched the Creta facelift in January 2024. However, the Korean automaker has already started working on the third-generation Creta SUV. Latest media reports claim that the next-gen Hyundai Creta will be launched in India in 2027. Internally codenamed SX3, the new Hyundai Creta SUV will be produced at Hyundai's production plant in Tamil Nadu.
The SUV is expected to retain its existing engine line-up including a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L direct-injection turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer. The SUV could also receive a strong hybrid powertrain, which could use a 1.5L petrol engine and an electric motor.
