Tata is expanding their EV line-up, with the expected launch of the Harrier.ev flagship model this year. The automakers showcased this new electric SUV at the Auto Expo 2025, as the first electric model developed on the D8 platform. There have been multiple reports ahead of its launch that include factors like range and powertrain of up to 500 km.
Before its launch let's go through what we know about this Tata EV.
The homegrown automaker will be marking a great shift in the electric automobile market with the Harrier EV. This EV will be using a 75 kWh battery pack which is expected to go up to 500 km on full charge. The EV is said to be offered with vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) bi-directional charging capabilities.
The Harrier has a much more polished look with a new body-colored closed-off upper grille featuring horizontal slats, a new silver-colored lower grille featuring vertical, and specially designed 19-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, this EV goes for a new color scheme as same as the diesel-powered Harrier. The automakers will offer it with features like a panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, an illuminated logo on the steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats with 6-way power adjustment and a memory function on the driver side and a 4-way power adjustment on the passenger side.
