Mystery Nexon spotted testing Facelift or new variant coming CNG automatic likely
Tata Motors has sparked curiosity after a fully camouflaged Tata Nexon test mule was spotted in India.
The heavy camouflage suggests that this is not just a minor update. Something bigger could be under development.

At first glance, the test car could be a new variant. But such heavy camouflage usually points towards a facelift.
The current Nexon was launched in September 2023, and a mid-cycle update around 2026 seems likely.
Even though Nexon continues to sell strongly, Tata may still update it to keep it fresh in a competitive segment.

From what can be seen, there are no major design changes.
The headlights, wheels, and tail lamps appear similar to the current model.
This suggests that the update could be subtle, rather than a full redesign.
The biggest changes could be inside the cabin.
Tata may improve material quality and add new features to enhance the overall experience.
With increasing competition, feature upgrades are expected to play a key role in keeping Nexon ahead.
Another strong possibility is the introduction of a new powertrain option.
The Nexon is already one of the most versatile SUVs in India, offering petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric versions.
However, it currently misses out on a CNG automatic option.
Tata could introduce a CNG AMT variant, which would be a big step forward in this segment.
Rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza are also expected to get updates soon.
Tata’s dual-cylinder i-CNG setup already gives it an advantage by offering better boot space.
Adding an automatic option could further strengthen its lead in the CNG space.
The Nexon continues to be one of Tata’s top-selling models and a key contributor to overall sales.
Along with other popular models, it plays a major role in the brand’s growth.
Keeping it updated is important for maintaining its strong position in the market.
