Tata Sierra EV - Bigger Screen, Roomy Interior, and 4WD Capabilities

Tata Sierra EV to get 15-inch touchscreen and modern digital cluster Spacious cabin and 4WD layout make it a strong family SUV 65-75 kWh batteries and 260bhp+ motor expected for solid performance

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Sierra EV, a modern electric SUV designed to compete in India’s growing EV market. Recent spy photos reveal updates to the exterior, interior, and features, hinting at a premium and practical SUV for Indian buyers.

The Sierra EV is expected to target families and SUV enthusiasts looking for space, comfort, and performance. It will likely rival the Mahindra BE.6, offering a roomier alternative in the segment.

Exterior Updates Highlight Modern Styling

The test mules of the Sierra EV show subtle cosmetic changes, including a silver rear bumper element. While the alloy design largely remains the same, two variants of the wheels indicate mid- and top-spec versions.

The SUV retains Tata’s rugged design language, with squared wheel arches, flat body panels, and an upright stance. These elements maintain the Sierra’s commanding presence while giving it a modern electric SUV feel.

Inside, the Sierra EV features a large central touchscreen, likely over 15 inches, along with a slightly bigger digital instrument cluster. This suggests a more modern and connected cabin experience.

While upholstery details are not fully visible, expect updated materials and colour schemes to enhance the premium feel. The cabin layout focuses on comfort and practicality, making it ideal for family use.

Battery, Performance, and 4WD

The Sierra EV is expected to offer 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs, paired with a motor slightly less powerful than the Harrier EV. This setup will likely balance efficiency with performance.

A 4WD layout is also anticipated, enhancing off-road capability and traction. If equipped with a 260bhp+ motor, the Sierra EV could easily take on rivals like the Mahindra BE.6, while providing a more spacious cabin for passengers and cargo.
