In the past couple of months, we have witnessed the arrival of three important SUVs, including the Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos and Mahindra XUV 7XO. All three SUVs are priced aggressively, and their base variants are also feature-loaded. In this article, we bring you the key features of the base variants of these three SUVs to find out which one offers the most value-for-money proposition.

The new XUV 7XO Is available in 6 trim levels - AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7 TECH and AX7 L. The base variant AX is available with 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. For automatic, customers will have to opt for the AX3 and above variants. The Mahindra XUV 7XO AX petrol is priced at Rs 13.66 lakh, while the diesel base is tagged at Rs 14.96 lakh, ex-showroom.

The base HTE is available with two powertrain options - a 1.5L NA petrol manual and a 1.5L diesel with 6-speed manual - priced at Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 12.59 lakh, respectively, ex-showroom.

The Tata Sierra is available in 7 trims - Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+. The base variants, Smart+ MT petrol and Smart+ AT Manual are priced at Rs 11.49 lakh and Rs 12.99 lakh, respectively. For automatic, customers will have to opt for Pure and above variants.

We believe that the Kia Seltos base and Mahindra XUV 7XO comes as the most value-for-money variants. Both offers touchscreen infotainment unit, speakers, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, LED lighting system and safety features like ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, ESP and others as standard. The Sierra base is greatly loaded with features like electric tailgate release, all-4 disc brakes, electronic parking brake with auto hold, LED lighting system and safety tech. However, it lacks major features like infotainment and speakers.
