Volkswagen has confirmed to bring a fresh lineup of sporty models to India. The automaker will be bringing the Tiguan R-Line and Golf GTI into the country to expand its product lineup. Both of these cars are great with performance and as well sleek with the design. Let's look at these vehicles and learn a bit more about what they offer.
This model features sporty front and back bumpers with full-width horizontal LED light strips at the front and rear and larger 19-inch alloy wheels. In the international market, the car also comes with a Black Style package option. However, it is very likely that the car can get some cosmetic changes with a new body style and a new interior theme.
Inside, the interior is likely to have a new theme with features like a 12.9-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, an 8-speaker audio system alongside the existing panoramic sunroof, and a 3-zone automatic climate control.
The brand has not revealed which engine option will be brought to India, however, it is known that the new Tiguan is built on the MQB Evo platform.
The Golf GTI is a vastly popular car among enthusiasts because of its sporty and aggressive stance and performance. Its front fascia gets the signature Volkswagen grille that houses the 'Volkswagen' logo, matrix LED headlights, and an aggressive front bumper that houses a honeycomb mesh pattern.
The interior of this sporty vehicle features an all-black interior scheme where the sporty hatchback has metallic pedals, GTI-specific digital climate control, automatic climate control, and wireless phone charging along with a simple yet functional dashboard layout and sports seats.
In the global market, the Volkswagen Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine, which is claimed to offer sporty performance.
For the pricing, it is likely that the new Golf GTI could be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom) and the new Tiguan R-Line price higher than Rs 38.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
