Maruti Fronx Beats Creta, Nexon to Become Top-Selling SUV in Feb 2025

Automakers have released their sales numbers for the month of February 2025. Most of the brands posted negative MoM sales; however, few brands posted positive YoY sales growth. Now, we have the list of top selling cars in the month of February 2025. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx become the top-selling SUV of the country last month with a total sales of 21,461. In fact, the Fronx was the top-selling car in India in February 2025.

Top 10 Selling SUVs February 2025

Maruti Suzuki Fronx manages to beat the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Tata Nexon and Tata Punch to secure the top-spot in the list. The Hyundai Creta sits at the second position with 16317 units dispatched last month, while Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon grab 3rd and 4th position, respectively. Maruti Suzuki sold 15392 units of Brezza in Feb 2025 as against 15765 units in the same month last year. 

The Tata Nexon reported a YoY sales growth of 7% in February 2025. The company sold 15349 units of Nexon last month as against 14395 units in Feb 2024. January's top-selling SUV, Tata Punch slips to 5th position with 14559 vehicles sold in February 2025 compared to 18438 units in the same month last year. 

Mahindra Scorpio nameplate remains one of the top-selling SUVs in the country. Despite increasing competition, the Scorpio records a total sales of 13,618 units last month as against 15,051 units in February 2024. However, it reported a YoY sales decline of 10%. 

The Hyundai Venue and Mahindra Thar secured 7th and 8th positions, respectively, in the list of top-selling SUVs in India in February. While Hyundai dispatched 10,125 units of Venue, Mahindra sold 9248 units of Thar SUV. Another Mahindra lifestyle SUV, the Bolero reports a total sales of 8680 units to clinch 9th spot in the list of top 10 SUVs of February 2025. 

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is at the 10th spot in the list of top 10 selling SUVs in India in February 2025. The company sold 7861 units of the XUV 3XO last month as against 4218 units in February 2024, reporting a massive YoY sales growth of 86%.
