2 New SUV Launches in Just 15 Days - VW Taigun Facelift & MG Majestor

Volkswagen Taigun facelift launching on 9th April, with noticeable upgrades.  MG Majestor (Fortuner rival) is slated to launch on 20th April

If you have been waiting for the new Volkswagen Taigun facelift or MG Majestor premium three-row SUVs, here’s some good news - their official launch dates have now been announced. The updated Taigun will go on sale with its price announcement on April 9, while the Majestor will hit showrooms on April 20, 2026. Ahead of their arrival, here’s a look at the key details of these upcoming SUVs.

New Volkswagen Taigun 2026 Facelift

New VW Taigun Facelift Launch Date

The new Volkswagen Taigun is expected to receive updates similar to its badge-engineered sibling – the Skoda Kushaq. The SUV lineup will retain the existing 115bhp, 1.0L turbo and 150bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engines. However, the former could be offered with a new 8-speed torque convertor automatic transmission.

Inside, the updated Taigun is expected to feature a new digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, rear seats with massaging function, a wireless phone charger and automatic climate control. The rest of the features will be carried over from the pre-facelift model.

In terms of design, only subtle cosmetic changes are expected. The 2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift might get a redesigned grille with an illuminated VW moniker at the centre, newly-designed alloy wheels, and revised LED headlamps and taillamps. While the overall dimensions are expected to remain unchanged, new colour options could be introduced.

MG Majestor

The MG Majestor SUV lineup will come in two trims – Sharp and Savvy – powered by a 2.0L twin turbo diesel engine borrowed from the Gloster. This motor pushes out a healthy power of 215bhp and 478.5Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be performed by an 8-speed torque convertor automatic unit. The SUV will come with a 4WD (four-wheel drive) system with low range, along with three locking differentials and five drive modes – Normal, Mud, Sand, Rock and Snow.

An all-black interior with contrasting silver trim and leatherette upholstery gives it a sporty appeal. As a premium offering, the Majestor offers several advanced technologies and features including a 12-speaker JBL Studio audio system, an 8-way powered co-driver’s seat, three-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof and more. It will be available in both 6 and 7-seats configuration options.
