Mahindra is preparing to launch multiple new SUVs, including new-generations and facelifts of existing models. In fact, testing of the updated Bolero Neo, XUV700 and Thar are already commenced with launch expected before the end of this financial year. Adding to it, the Mahindra Scorpio-N will also receive big updates.
Mahindra will introduce the new Bolero Neo in the country on August 15, 2025. The updated model will receive significant design changes and a feature-loaded cabin. Similarly, the Scorpio-N will receive newer features, which will be shared with the Thar Roxx and XUV700. The updated Bolero Neo and Scorpio N will also come with Panoramic Sunroof.
The updated model will receive new variants, which will come with a panoramic sunroof. Lower-spec models could get a single-pane sunroof. The SUV will also come with a LEVEL 2 ADAS suite, which is likely to be the same system available in the XUV700. The ADAS tech features could include smart pilot assist, automatic braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane assist and others.
The 2025 Mahindra Scorpio-N will continue to be offered with the same set of engines, including a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
The new Mahindra Bolero Neo will continue to be based on the ladder-frame chassis; however, it will have all-new body panels and design. The SUV will have Scorpio-like front grille and a new circular-shaped headlamps, and new rugged bumper with new fog lamp housing. It retains the boxy design with short overhangs and squared-off wheel arches. The SUV gets a side-hinged rear door and a tailgate mounted spare wheel, a vertically-stacked tail-lamps and a more pronounced shoulder line.
The SUV is likely to get several new comfort and convenience features. It is likely to get six airbags as standard, a new steering wheel with mounted controls, a new larger touchscreen infotainment unit, a new driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver’s seat and ADAS tech.
The outgoing model is powered by a 99bhp, 1.5L, 3-cylinder turbo diesel engine paired to a manual gearbox. We expect the new Bolero Neo to get a more powerful 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that powers the Thar 3-door and XUV 3XO.
