Kia will launch the second generation Seltos SUV in the Indian market on January 2, 2026. The all-new Kia Seltos will also go on sale in select international markets, including Korea, Europe, North America and China. Compared to the India-spec model, the global-spec new Seltos gets more powerful engine options and AWD setup along with a slighting different dimensions.

The India-spec model is offered with 1.5L NA petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engine choices. On the other hand, the global-spec Seltos is offered with a 1.6-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The turbo engine offers two states of tunes - 180PS/265Nm and 193PS/265Nm. On the flip side, the 2.0L naturally-aspirated petrol unit produces 149PS and 179Nm.
Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, a CVT, and an 8-speed torque converter automatic. Moreover, the SUV gets an AWD drivetrain. The India-spec model is only available in a front-wheel-drive layout.
Kia has officially announced that the global-spec new Seltos will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain in 2026. The India-spec model will also get a hybrid version, which is scheduled to be launched sometime in 2027. Before Seltos, the next-gen Hyundai Creta for India will receive a hybrid powertrain.
The global-spec model measures 4430mm in length, 1830mm in width and 1600mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2690mm. The india-spec model is 30mm longer and 35mm taller than the global-spec model. Moreover, the new Seltos for global markets has a ground clearance of 536-litres that’s 89-litres larger than the India-spec model.
The global-spec model gets a heated steering wheel, and an extra cupholder on centre console. The gear selector is mounted on the SUV’s steering wheel. Moreover, this model gets heated and cooled seats. The global-spec model has 7 ADAS features, while the India-spec model gets ADAS LEVEL 2 with 21 driver assistance features.
