The Indian car market has witnessed a massive rise in demand during festive season, thanks to reduced GST rates and massive price reduction. From electric vehicles to facelifts and returning of iconic nameplates, a wide range of new cars and SUVs are slated for launch by December 2025. Here is a list of every new SUV to be launched in the country by the end of this year.
Launch - November 4, 2025
Engine - 1.2L NA petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel
Competition - Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza

Hyundai has revealed the new-gen Venue compact SUV with significant design and interior changes. The SUV gets bolder with design inspiration from bigger Hyundai SUVs, including the Alcazar, Creta and Palisade. Interested buyers can book the new Venue online or at authorised Hyundai dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. It will come in 7 trims: HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX7, HX8 and HX10.
In terms of features, the new Venue will have a LEVEL 2 ADAS tech, two 12.3-inch screens, 2-step recline function for the rear seats, two-tone leatherette upholstery, front parking sensors, powered driver’ seat, and others.

Launch - November 2025
Engine - 1.5L NA Petrol, 1.5L turbo Petrol and 2.0L diesel
Competition - Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris
The long-awaited Tata Sierra will finally launch in our market in November 2025. The company will first launch the ICE-powered version of the lifestyle SUV. It will be based on a front-wheel-drive platform and will come with multiple powertrains. The Tata Sierra will be the first Tata car to feature a triple screen dashboard. In terms of features, the SUV will have a panoramic sunroof, LEVEL 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, ventilated and powered front seats, dual-zone climate control and others.
Launch - December 2025 or January 2026
Engine - 65kWh or 75kWh battery packs
Competition - Hyundai Creta Electric and Mahindra BE 6
Tata Motors will launch the Sierra electric before the end of this year, most probably in December 2025. Its sales could begin in January 2026. The new Sierra EV will be based on Acti.ev+ architecture, and will come as a front-wheel-drive lifestyle SUV. However, the top-end model could get a dual-motor AWD setup. The new Sierra EV is likely to source its battery packs with the Harrier EV. We expect the new lifestyle EV to offer a realistic range of around 500km on a single charge.
Launch - November 2025
Engine - 1.5L turbo petrol
Competition - Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Hyundai Alcazar

Tata Motors will finally launch the petrol-powered Harrier and Safari SUVs in the country in November or December 2025. The new SUVs won’t receive any design and interior changes. Both SUVs will finally get a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol engine, which will also power the Sierra. This engine is reportedly to produce around 170PS and 280Nm of torque. Transmission choices could include a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic unit.
Launch - December 2025
Engine - 1.5L NA petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel
Competition - Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris

The long-awaited new-gen Kia Seltos will finally arrive in our market in December 2025. The new Seltos will receive an all-new design inspired by the Telluride, which will soon enter the new generation. The new SUV will have boxy design with a prominent front fascia, smoother surfaces and a flatter roof. The SUV will also receive a hybrid powertrain, but it will only arrive in 2027.
Launch - December 2025
Engine - 49kWh and 61kWh battery, FWD setup
Competition - Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6

Maruti Suzuki will launch the electric Vitara SUV in the country by December 2025. It will be offered in three trim levels - Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The new SUVs will be sold exclusively through Maruti’s premium NEXA dealerships. The electric SUV promises to offer a range of up to 500km on a single charge. It will come as a front-wheel-drive SUV; however, the European-spec model gets a dual-motor AWD version.
Launch - November-December 2025
Engine - 59kWh and 79kWh battery, dual-motor AWD
Competition - Tata Harrier EV

The long-awaited Mahindra XEV 7e or XUV700 electric is reportedly to be launched in our market in December 2025. The electric SUV looks identical to the XUV700, but it gets several EV-specific design elements. The front design will have similarities with the Mahindra XEV 9e, featuring a blanked-off fascia and connected LED strip. It will have a three-screen setup comprising a 12.3-inch instrument panel, a 12.3-inch infotainment unit and a 12.3-inch co-occupant entertainment screen. It is expected to be offered with both 6-and 7-seater options with former having captain seats in the second-row.
