Tata Sierra EV to launch on June 30 Nissan Tekton debut on July 9 Deliveries of Honda ZR-V to begin in July 2026

The Indian automotive industry is bracing for an unprecedented month of high-profile arrivals. While Tata Motors will introduce the much-anticipated Sierra EV, Nissan will officially introduce the Tekton midsize SUV on July 9, 2026. Honda has confirmed that the price announcement and deliveries for the ZR-V will begin from July, while Skoda has started accepting pre-orders for the Kodiaq RS.


Tata Sierra EV

Set to be introduced on June 30, 2026, the Sierra EV will sit between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata Motors electric lineup in India. It will be built on the acti.ev+ architecture, which is claimed to offer superior space management and large battery capacities. While the exact specifications are yet to be revealed, we expect the new Tata Sierra EV to come with two battery choices - 55kWh from Curvv EV and 65kWh from Tata Harrier EV.


The electric SUV could offer an ARAI certified fuel economy of around 540km - 600km, and a realistic range of around 400-450km. The higher variants will come with a dual-motor AWD setup. Key features will include a triple screen dashboard, LEVEL 2+ ADAS, V2V charging, a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, electronic parking brake with auto hold, all disc brakes and others.


Nissan Tekton

Scheduled to make global debut on July 9, 2026, the new Nissan Tekton will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and others in the segment. It is built on the same modular platform that underpins the new Renault Duster. The company has officially released the teasers, confirming the design of the new Tekton is inspired by the flagship Patrol SUV. 


It will be offered with two engine options, including a 99bhp, 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol and a 160bhp, 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol. In terms of features, the Tekton will get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital driver’s display, panoramic sunroof, LEVEL 2 ADAS, powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera and others. 


Honda ZR-V

Honda will announce the prices of the new ZR-V midsize SUV in July 2026. Deliveries are being promised to commence from the second half of next month.,  It will be the brand’s new flagship SUV, and will be brought to the country as a fully imported model in limited numbers. 


The India-spec Honda ZR-V is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine coupled with a dual-motor strong-hybrid system. The combined power and torque output stands at 184hp and 315Nm, respectively. This engine is mated with an e-CVT, which transmits power to the front wheels. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 7.9 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 172kmph. The new Honda ZR-V hybrid is claimed to offer a certified fuel economy of 22.80kmpl. The SUV offers a range of 1300km on a single fuel tank.


Skoda Kodiaq RS


Bookings for the new Skoda Kodiaq RS has officially been commenced with launch expected in coming days. Limited to just 50 units, the new SUV can be booked online or at authorised Skoda dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 3 lakh. The SUV is powered by a 2.0L TSI Petrol engine that has been tuned to produce 261bhp and 400Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed DCT and Skoda’s 4x4 all-wheel-drive system. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 6.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 231kmph.
