Honda City Facelift - What’s New for 2026

Honda City 2026 facelift launches on 22nd May Refreshed grille, LED headlights, tail lamps, and new alloy wheels Honda Sensing ADAS and hybrid option continue

Honda Cars India is gearing up to launch the 2026 Honda City facelift on 22nd May. This is the second mid-cycle update for the fifth-generation City, which debuted in 2020. With the next-generation model expected only in 2028, this facelift keeps the sedan competitive against rivals like the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and Hyundai Verna.

Subtle Exterior Changes

The facelift brings minor but noticeable design updates. At the front, the City is expected to get a refreshed grille, updated LED headlights, and a slightly revised bumper. The rear sees updated tail lamp graphics and a tweaked bumper. The side profile remains mostly unchanged, though new alloy wheel designs and fresh colour options are likely to enhance its overall appeal.

Interior Upgrades and Features

Inside, the dashboard layout remains familiar, with subtle updates such as new upholstery and trim inserts. Honda continues to offer its Honda Sensing ADAS suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and collision mitigation braking. The facelift may also add a 360-degree camera. Popular features like the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, and connected car features remain unchanged.

Powertrain Remains the Same

The petrol engine remains a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit producing 121 PS and 145 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or CVT. The e:HEV hybrid variant continues to offer 126 PS with an e-CVT transmission, making it one of the most fuel-efficient options in the segment.
