Honda to launch ZRV Hybrid and City facelift on May 22 To come as a fully imported CBU model Expected to be priced around Rs 40-45 lakh
We informed you earlier that Honda will launch the City facelift, ZR-V hybrid and the updated Elevate in the country before the end of 2026. A new media report claims that the Honda ZR-V hybrid and City facelift will be launched in our market on May 22, 2026. The company is also preparing its first electric SUV based on the 0 Alpha concept, which is set to be launched in early next year.
The Honda ZR-V will be introduced as a fully imported model, and will be joined by the Prelude Sports Coupe in near future. It is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 40 lakh - 45 lakh (ex-showroom). The new ZR-V Hybrid will take on the likes of the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq Lounge and Jeep Meridian.
Honda has already showcased the new ZR-V SUV to dealers during an investor summit. This 5-seater premium SUV measures 4,568mm in length, 1,840mm in width and 1,620mm in height. It sits on a 2,655mm long wheelbase. While the Honda Elevate has an upright and boxy shape, the ZR-V has more rounded crossover-ish design. It carries the familiar design language, featuring an oval front grille with vertical slats, LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a slopping bonnet, 19-inch alloys, LED tail-lamps, and rectangular exhaust vents.
Inside the cabin, the Honda ZR-V gets a 10.2-inch driver’s display, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and dual-zone climate control. In terms of features, the SUV gets wireless charging system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, powered front seats, leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, a Bose sound system and others.
The Honda ZR-V for the Indian market will be offered with a hybrid powertrain, comprising a 2.0L petrol engine and two electric motors and a small battery pack. The combined power and torque output stands at 184bhp and 315Nm of torque. The hybrid SUV accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 7.8 seconds. It is claimed to offer fuel efficiency of around 22.2kmpl (4.5-litres per 100 kilometres on the combined WLTC cycle).
