Nissan Motor India has officially started the export of their made-in-India Magnite to left-hand-drive markets. The first shipment of the Nissan Magnite dispatched 2,900 units to the select LATAM markets in January 2025. The shipment was done from the Kamarajar Port near Chennai.
The new Magnite was recently launched in October 2024, with two engine options that are a 1.0-litre petrol engine that delivers over 71 BHP and 96 Nm and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit that offers 99 BHP and 160 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT, and a CVT.
Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, Saurabh Vatsa said 'This expansion aligns with our ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ vision, ensuring world-class innovation, safety, and value for customers worldwide. The Magnite showcases the best of Japanese engineering blended with local expertise.'
This model will now be available in more than 65 markets all around the world (including RHD markets like South Africa). By this month, Nissan is planning to export over 7,100 units to markets in the Middle East, North Africa, LATAM, and Asia Pacific regions. The brand will have exported over 10,000 units of the LHD Magnite by the end of February.
