5 new Kia cars incoming Syros EV debut in July Hybrids and EVs in focus
Kia is planning a big expansion in India with a strong focus on electric and hybrid vehicles. The brand aims to grow its lineup significantly by 2030, with most upcoming models featuring electrified powertrains.
Here are five big Kia cars expected to arrive in India between 2026-2030.
The Kia Syros EV will be one of the first launches, with its debut confirmed for July 2026. It will be positioned as the brand’s most affordable EV in India.
It is expected to get a 42kWh battery pack, paired with an electric motor producing around 133 bhp and 255 Nm. The design will remain similar to the ICE version, with subtle EV-specific changes.
The Syros EV will rival the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.

Kia is working on the second-generation Sonet, expected to launch in 2027.
The new model will bring updates in design, features and overall performance.
It will move to a new platform shared with the Kia Syros, improving safety, technology and cabin space. A strong hybrid version is also in development for a later stage.
The Sonet will continue to compete with the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
Kia is expected to introduce a hybrid version of the Seltos by 2027.
This model will likely use a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a strong hybrid system. With localisation in focus, prices are expected to range between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh.
It will take on rivals like the Maruti Grand Vitara.
The Kia Sorento is expected to arrive in India by late 2026 as a premium three-row SUV.
For the Indian market, it is likely to debut with a new 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol hybrid system instead of the global 1.6-litre turbo hybrid setup.
It will sit above the Kia Seltos and rival models like the Mahindra XUV700.
The Kia Carnival hybrid is expected to arrive in India by 2030 as a more efficient version of the premium MPV.
It could use a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid system, offering better fuel efficiency and smoother performance compared to the current diesel model.
