Mahindra discontinues all 5-seater variants of the XUV700 in India The SUV is now available exclusively in 6- and 7-seater configurations Prices start at Rs 14.49 lakh, with 43 variants still on offer
In a silent move, Mahindra has discontinued the 5-seater variants of its popular SUV, the XUV700. The SUV will now be available exclusively in 6- and 7-seater configurations, with prices starting from Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Earlier, the XUV700 5-seater was available in three trims: MX, AX3, and AX5. The entry-level MX Petrol MT variant was priced at Rs 13.99 lakh, while the top-spec AX5 Petrol AT carried a price tag of Rs 19.29 lakh. On the diesel side, prices ranged from Rs 14.59 lakh for the MX Diesel MT to Rs 19.89 lakh for the AX5 Diesel AT.
Even with the discontinuation of the 5-seater variants, Mahindra continues to offer 43 variants of the XUV700 across its 6- and 7-seater range. The base MX 7-seater is priced between Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh.
In the AX5 lineup, prices for the AX5 S 7-seater start at Rs 16.89 lakh, while the AX5 7-seater starts at Rs 18.34 lakh.
The AX7 variant is now available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations, with prices starting at Rs 19.49 lakh. The top-of-the-line AX7 L trim is also offered in both layouts, with prices ranging from Rs 23.19 lakh to Rs 24.99 lakh.
Despite the reshuffle in variant offerings, the Mahindra XUV700 continues to be a strong contender in the premium SUV segment, thanks to its long feature list, multiple powertrain options, and now even more focus on larger family-oriented configurations.
