Mahindra is gearing up to upgrade its SUV lineup with two major models - the Mahindra XUV700 facelift and the Mahindra XUV700 Electric (XEV 7e). Both SUVs will offer fresh design updates, new interior features and improved comfort. While the facelift will update the existing XUV700, the XEV 7e will be the electric version of the SUV.

The XUV700 facelift 2025 is expected to receive a noticeable styling refresh. The overall shape will remain the same, but the SUV will get a new front grille, updated LED headlamps, and C-shaped LED DRLs. Revised bumpers and redesigned tail-lamps will help give the SUV a more bold and modern appearance.
Inside, the facelifted model is expected to get a new dashboard design, inspired by the Mahindra XEV 9e electric SUV. The biggest highlight will be a triple-screen setup, including a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment display and an additional screen for the co-passenger.
The model will also offer a six-seat layout with ventilated captain seats for added comfort. Convenience features may include auto-dimming IRVM, front parking sensors, and a more advanced ADAS Level 2+ safety suite, which may also offer a self-parking function.
There are no mechanical changes expected. The SUV will continue with the 2.0L turbo-petrol (197bhp) and 2.2L turbo-diesel (182bhp) engines with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.
The Mahindra XUV700 facelift launch date is expected sometime in 2025.
Mahindra is also preparing to introduce the Mahindra XUV700 Electric, expected to be launched as the Mahindra XEV 7e. This model is based on the XUV.e8 concept, and the SUV has been spotted multiple times while testing and during charging.
The Mahindra XEV 7e will be built on the brand’s new INGLO skateboard platform, which allows better cabin space, improved battery packaging and a more EV-friendly layout.
From the outside, the XUV700 Electric will look similar to the standard model but with EV-specific styling elements such as a closed-off grille, full-width LED light bar, and new alloy wheel designs.
Inside, the XEV 7e will feature a triple 12.3-inch screen dashboard, a two-spoke steering wheel, a Harman Kardon 16-speaker sound system, and multi-zone climate control. The SUV will be offered in 6-seat and 7-seat configurations, with ventilated captain seats available in the 6-seater version.
The electric SUV is expected to come with 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery packs, shared with the XEV 9e. Unlike the XEV 9e’s rear-wheel-drive layout, the XEV 7e will also get a dual-motor AWD variant for improved performance.
