Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the new-gen Swift hatchback with 6 airbags as standard. Now, the company has introduced new mid-spec Delta+ (O) variants of the Fronx crossover. This sub-4 meter crossover is now available in 6 trims - Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Delta+ (O), Zeta and Alpha.
The new Maruti Fronx Delta+ (O) variant is available with both manual and AMT gearbox options. While the manual version is priced at Rs 8.93 lakh, the AMT variant costs Rs 9.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variants are 15,000 more expensive than the existing Delta+ variants.
The new Fronx Delta+ (O) trim comes fitted with six airbags and a tyre repair kit, which are not available in the regular Delta+ trim. Other features are similar to the Delta+ trim. The new trim gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. It is equipped with a multi-functional steering wheel, powered wing mirrors, keyless entry, automatic AC, ESC and others.
The Maruti Fronx Delta+ (O) trim is powered by a tried & tested 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 90 PS of power and 113Nm of torque. Transmission duties can be handled by either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
The Fronx crossover is also offered with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that pushes out 100 PS and 148 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The Fronx crossover is positioned against the likes of the Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue and the Kia Sonet.
