We informed you earlier that the next-gen Kia Seltos will make its global debut on December 10, 2025. Few reports claim that the SUV will first debut in South Korea. However, our sources confirmed that the new Seltos SUV is set for simultaneous launch in India and Korea. Sales of the new model could begin from January 2026.
The spy images reveal that the second-gen Kia Seltos will come with an all-new design, which seems inspired by the new-gen Telluride full-size SUV. It features a more masculine and boxy styling, and appears slightly bigger than the outgoing model.
The SUV will have a Telluride-like wider grille and square-shaped headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) signature. There is a flatter bonnet and a flat nose that houses a two-part grille. The new SUV has a slightly straighter roof and smoother lines on side body panels along with thick cladding around the wheel arches. There are large glass areas and body-coloured B and C-pillars.
The rear has a squarish profile, featuring an all-new tailgate design and Telluride-like LED tail-lights. Other styling elements include flared wheel arches with prominent cladding, shark fin antenna and roof-integrated spoiler.
The outgoing model is already feature-loaded and premium in nature, and the second-gen model to take the cabin experience to next level. The dashboard layout could be inspired by the bigger Kia models, including Carnival and EV9. It is expected to get a 30-inch connected screen, comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument console, a 12.3-inch infotainment unit and a 5-inch climate control display.
The SUV is expected to get a longer list of features compared to the current model. Features-like could include a dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, reclining and sliding functions for second row and others. The SUV will have LEVEL 2 ADAS, front parking sensors, 6 airbags, ESC, hill launch assist and others.
The India-spec new-gen Kia Seltos will initially come with petrol and diesel engine options. The engine options will include a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. Both manual and automatic gearbox choices will be on offer. The hybrid version is likely to launch sometime in 2027.
The second-gen Seltos for the Korean market will receive a strong hybrid engine. The global-spec model is expected to get a 141hp, 1.6L hybrid engine with a dedicated electronic all-time four-wheel (e-AWD) system.
