Nissan Tekton SUV Coming Soon - 3-Row Model Also Planned

Nissan Tekton SUV will debut globally on July 9, 2026 in India. A 3-row version of the SUV is also in the works. It will take on Creta, Seltos and other popular SUVs.

Nissan is preparing to expand its India lineup with a new SUV called the Tekton. The all-new Nissan Tekton midsize SUV is scheduled to make its official global debut and unveil in India on July 9, 2026. After this, the brand is also planning to introduce a 3-row version of the same SUV in the coming months. This means the Tekton will first arrive as a compact SUV, and later grow into a more practical family model.

With this move, Nissan is clearly looking to strengthen its position in the SUV market in India.

Bold and Modern Exterior Design

The Tekton is expected to follow a bold and modern design language. At the front, it will likely get sharp inverted L-shaped LED DRLs that will give it a strong road presence.

It may also feature a full-width LED light bar placed above a red accent strip, adding a more premium touch. Other design highlights could include LED headlamps, a chunky skid plate, and fog lamps for a rugged SUV look.

On the sides and rear, the SUV may come with silver roof rails, dual-tone alloy wheels, and connected LED tail lamps for a more modern feel.

Simple and Feature-Rich Cabin

Inside, the Tekton is expected to offer a clean and modern layout. It may come with a new three-spoke steering wheel and a large touchscreen infotainment system in the centre.

Other expected features include a digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera system.

The focus seems to be on making the cabin easy to use while still offering a premium experience.

Engine Options Expected

The 2026 Nissan Tekton could come with multiple turbo-petrol engine options, including a 1.0-litre, 1.3-litre, and a 1.8-litre hybrid unit.

Transmission options may include manual, automatic, and dual-clutch gearboxes depending on the variant.

3-Row Version for Bigger Families

Along with the standard SUV, Nissan is also working on a 3-row version of the Tekton. This version will target buyers who need extra space for family use. So while the regular Tekton will compete in the compact SUV segment, the 3-row model will offer a more practical and spacious option.

Competition in India

Once launched, the Tekton will enter a highly competitive SUV space in India. It will rival models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor. It will also face newer competition such as Maruti Suzuki Victoris and the upcoming Tata Sierra.
