Tata Harrier EV gets multiple off-road modes To offer range of over 600km on a single charge First Tata since Safari Storme to offer 4WD set-up
The much-awaited Tata Harrier EV has finally been launched in the Indian market. The company had revealed the production-ready model at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. A new set of videos reveal the design, interior, off-road capabilities and features of the Harrier electric SUV. Check Full Story Here
The new Harrier EV will take on the likes of the Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e and the BYD Atto 3. It is available at an introductory price tag of Rs 21.49 lakh, ex-showroom Pan India. Bookings for the new electric SUV will commence from July 2, 2025.

The Tata Harrier EV will be the first vehicle from the homegrown automaker to feature an AWD (all-wheel-drive) system. The Safari Storme was the last Tata to offer 4x4 drivetrain. The Harrier electric comes with a dual-motor, AWD set-up.
The Tata Harrier EV has two electric motors - one on each axle. The company has not revealed the exact specifications of the electric SUV; however, the SUV is expected to offer a maximum torque of over 500km. Another big update is that the SUV will have a range of over 600km in a single charge.

The instrument console visible in the video shows battery percentage at 85 percent and a range of 525km, which translates into a top range of over 600km on a single charge.
The official video reveal that the Tata Harrier EV will have an off-road assist mode, which could be the off-road creep mode with a preset speed. It has a 360-degree surround view camera that offers a transparent bonnet view.
The SUV’s off-road modes include Snow, Sand and a dedicated rock crawl mode, which can be adjusted using a rotary drive selector on the centre console. Adding to it, the EV has Eco and Boost modes.
The electric SUV gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 10.25 digital driver’s display, which we have already seen on the ICE-powered Tata Harrier. Other key features will include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, powered tailgate, electrically adjustable front seats and dual-zone climate control.
For Safety and security, the Harrier EV is likely to offer 7 airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, traction control, hill launch assist, hill descent assist, front and rear parking sensors and LEVEL 2 ADAS tech.
