2026 Tata Sierra gets a waiting period of around three months. High demand pushes Tata Sierra wait time past Harrier and Safari. AWD and electric Tata Sierra versions coming soon.
The 2026 Tata Sierra has quickly become one of the most talked-about SUVs in India. Launched on November 25, 2025, the SUV has received a strong response from customers, thanks to its iconic name and modern design. Soon after launch, Tata Motors recorded over 70,000 bookings within just 24 hours.
Due to this high demand, the Tata Sierra waiting period has now stretched to around three months from the date of booking, as per dealer sources. This makes the Sierra one of the longest-waited Tata SUVs currently on sale.
In fact, the Tata Sierra wait time is longer than other popular Tata SUVs like the Harrier and Safari, which usually have a waiting period of one to two months.

The Sierra is offered in seven variants, with prices starting at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can choose from multiple trims based on their budget and feature preferences. The long Tata Sierra waiting list clearly shows how popular the SUV has become in a short time.
The 2026 Tata Sierra is available with three engine choices:
- 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol
- 1.5-litre turbo-petrol
- 1.5-litre diesel
Tata Motors is also planning to introduce more options in the future, which could further boost demand.
Looking ahead, Tata Motors is expected to launch an AWD version of the Sierra for buyers looking for better off-road ability. An all-electric version, the Sierra EV, is also in the pipeline, adding to the excitement around the model.
With strong bookings and a long waiting period, the Tata Sierra continues to stand out as one of Tata Motors’ most successful launches in recent years.
