Tata Motors is proudly bringing back the iconic Sierra in India which was discontinued in 2003. Scheduled to launch in 2025, the new Sierra will come in a more powerful and more stylish avatar than before. It will be offered in multiple engine options including petrol, diesel, and electric. Tata will use its recently introduced all-new ATLAS platform for the ICE models and Acti.ev architecture for the electric version.

The production-spec avatar will closely look similar to the concept model which was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. Some of its design elements will include a connected LED DRL strip at the front, flush-type door handles, large alpine windows, newly designed alloy wheels, squarish wheel arches, black thick cladding, and more.
The cabin layout of the new Sierra has not come to the surface. Though it can take some inspiration from Harrier and Safari. Tata might offer different colours of the cabin theme and seat upholstery for ICE and EV models.
Tata Sierra will make its comeback strong with its wide variety of new features. Some of its amenities will include a 4-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated brand logo, dual 12.3-inch digital displays for infotainment and instrumentation, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless smartphone charger, and ventilated seats.
The safety pack of the new Tata Sierra will include multiple airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and an electronic parking brake. An ADAS kit could also be on offer.
Tata Sierra SUV will come with both ICE and EV variants. The former can include the brand's new 1.5 Hyperion turbo engine which is available in Curvv. Besides, there can be a 2.0-litre diesel engine. Similarly, its electric variant will come in two battery packs with a single and dual motor setup, offering a maximum range of 500 km.
Tata will launch the Sierra EV first while its ICE-powered model can come a month later. As far as the prices are concerned, the Sierra EV could be priced around Rs 25-30 lakh while the ICE model could cost around Rs 15-20 lakh (ex-showroom).
