Mahindra & Mahindra is all set for a massive product offensive, with four exciting new SUVs slated for launch within the next 1 year. This ambitious roadmap includes mid-life refreshes for the Scorpio and Thar nameplates, the debut of an all-new Born Electric SUV based on BE.07 and a new rugged compact SUV based on the Vision S. In this article, we talk about these top 4 upcoming Mahindra SUVs in detail -
Mahindra is actively testing the Scorpio-N facelift, which is expected to be launched in Q2, 2026. The SUV will receive changes to its plastic parts, while body shell remains the same. It will come with design and interior changes along with a longer list of features; however, mechanics remain the same. In terms of styling, the SUV will have a completely redesigned front fascia with a new grille, revised headlamps with LED DRLs and an updated bumper. Other design changes will include new alloys, revised bumper and an updated tail-lamp setup.
Inside the cabin, the Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift is likely to get a larger touchscreen infotainment unit, a Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, a Panoramic sunroof, a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, an electrically adjustable front seats, etc. It will continue to be powered by a 2.2L turbo diesel or a 2.0L turbo petrol engines. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Mahindra is testing the Thar 3-door facelift and an upgraded Thar Roxx. While the Roxx is likely to receive minimal changes, the Thar 3-door will come with significant changes in terms of design and interior. Spy images reveal that the lifestyle off-roader will share design elements with the Thar-Roxx. It comes with circular LED headlamps, C-shaped daytime running lamps and a two-part grille with six-slats. The SUV is also expected to get new alloy wheels and LED tail-lamps.
The SUV is expected to get a larger touchscreen infotainment unit, auto dimming IRVM, centre armrest, and other features. It is expected to retain the engine options, including a 152hp, 2.0L turbo petrol, a 132hp, 2.2L turbo diesel and a 119hp, 1.5L turbo diesel.
Mahindra has recently revealed that it will launch the next ‘born-electric’ SUV in the Indian market in 2027. The new SUV will be based on the BE.07 concept that debuted in 2022-23. In fact, the first prototypes of the new SUV has already been caught testing on the Indian roads. This Born-Electric EV will carry a more upright stance than the BE 6, featuring an upright front fascia, raked front and rear windscreens and a flat roofline. The cabin will look similar to the XEV 9e, featuring triple-screen covering the entire dashboard. It is expected to be offered with multiple battery choices, similar to the XEV 9S. The Mahindra BE.07 is expected to rival the likes of the Tata Harrier.ev and VinFast VF 7.

The homegrown automaker, Mahindra will launch its first product based on the new NU_IQ modular platform. The Vision S based compact SUV will first arrive in early 2027. In fact, the SUV has been caught testing in production body panels and interiors. It is reportedly to be the smallest member of the Scorpio family. The SUV will carry a boxy and rugged design with modern features. Mahindra has already confirmed that the SUV will remain true to its original concept, featuring a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, flatter roof, high ground clearance and flared wheel arches with thick body cladding. It is expected to be powered by a 1.2L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine. A hybrid version is also expected to be launched in near future.
