Upcoming Maruti Facelifts: Brezza, Baleno & Fronx Key Details

Maruti to launch Brezza, Baleno and Fronx facelifts soon. Fronx might get ADAS, hybrid tech and new features. 

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed seven new SUVs (sport utility vehicles) for the Indian market, scheduled to arrive over the next five or six years. The carmaker also aims to strengthen its presence in the EV (electric vehicle) segment with three new models by 2031.

As part of its future product strategy, Maruti Suzuki will adopt a multi-powertrain strategy for its upcoming models, offering a wide range of options including petrol, battery electric vehicles, strong hybrids, CNG and Biogas (CBG), and flex-fuel technology.

Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the Brezza, Baleno and Fronx facelifts, expected to arrive in 2026-27. All three models are currently undergoing testing, and have been spotted multiple times, revealing interesting details.

2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift

The new Maruti Brezza facelift is expected to launch near the festive season. Spy images suggest that the subcompact SUV will receive subtle design changes and an underbody CNG tank. Inside, it might get a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new trims and upholstery. According to reports, the new Brezza could be offered with the Fronx’s 100bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine, paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox.

2026 Maruti Baleno Facelift

While the official launch timeline of the new Maruti Baleno facelift is yet to be announced, it’s expected to arrive in the coming months. The hatchback is expected to feature a redesigned front grille, a slim chrome bar connecting the headlamps, and a slightly repositioned fog lamp assembly. The new Baleno might offer a new cabin theme and slightly better material quality. Mechanically, the facelifted version is likely to remain unchanged.

2026 Maruti Fronx Facelift

Minimal cosmetic changes and feature enhancements are expected for the new Maruti Fronx facelift. However, the biggest upgrade will come in the form of an ADAS suite along with a sunroof and ventilated seats. These features could be reserved for the higher trims.

If reports are to be believed, the updated Fronx could debut Maruti Suzuki’s in-house developed strong hybrid powertrain in 2027. The existing 100bhp, 1.0L Boosterjet turbo petrol and 90bhp, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engines will also be carried forward from the current lineup.
