The new-generation 2026 Toyota Hilux is all set to make its global debut on Monday, November 10, 2025. Ahead of the official debut, Toyota has released new teaser images revealing its design details.
The teaser, shared on Toyota Motor Thailand’s social media channels, reveals that the new Hilux will come with all-new design. The lifestyle pick-up will come with slimmer headlights, C-shaped LED tail-lights, and new set of alloys. A retro-style ’TOYOTA’ lettering is placed in the centre of the grille.

The previous spy images reveal that the 2026 Toyota Hilux will come with significantly revised design. The spy shots reveal that the door and roof panels will be carried over from the existing model. It will continue to be based on Toyota’s ladder-frame chassis. The spy images also confirmed that the new model will come with a completely redesigned front and rear.
It was speculated that the new Hilux will use the TNGA-F platform, which underpins the Tacoma lifestyle pick-up truck in the US. In fact, media reports suggest that the next-gen Toyota Fortuner will be based on the TNGA-F platform that underpins the Land Cruiser Prado and 300 Series.

The new 2026 Toyota Hilux is set to receive substantial changes inside the cabin. It will come with a newly designed dashboard layout, which is dominated by a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The new Toyota Hilux is likely to be powered by the same 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, diesel engine, which is currently offered either with or without a 48V mild-hybrid system. This engine is capable of producing 201bhp of power and 500Nm of torque. The flagship GR Sport variant offers 221bhp and 550Nm of torque.
Toyota is not likely to offer the 2.4L turbo diesel and 2.7L naturally-aspirated petrol engines with the new Hilux. If media reports are to be believed, the new Hilux could also gain an electric powertrain at a later stage.
