India bound fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson officially revealed. Expected to launch in the second half of 2022. The SUV will feature drastic changes inside out.
Hyundai India recently shared a teaser video of the next-generation Tucson premium SUV, confirming its arrival in the country. The South Korean carmaker is expected to launch the model in the coming months. The four-wheeler has been a slow seller and the brand hopes that this update will change the fortune for the Tucson nameplate.
2022 Hyundai Tucson Exterior Design:
The new model will feature Hyundai’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design philosophy that can also be seen on the upcoming Venue and Creta facelifts. The SUV provides a sporty stance with a new parametric jewel front grille and a sculpted hood. The headlight cluster is separately placed in the lower part of the bumper giving the four-wheeler a new look. On the sides, the vehicle gets a new alloy design for its 18-inch wheels along with rectangular wheel arches. Moving to the rear, we see new snake fang design LED tail lamps and a sporty rear spoiler.

In terms of overall dimensions, the five seater SUV is expected to get a longer 2756 mm wheelbase that will result in improved legroom for the 2nd row passengers.
2022 Hyundai Tucson Interior:
The completely overhauled interior of the 2022 New Tucson will provide a 10.25-inch infotainment system with connected car tech, powered front seats alongside ventilation function, an all-digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, air purifier and more. Overall the cabin will have a refreshed and premium feel with advanced safety technology like ADAS, a 360-degree parking camera, 6 airbags, ESC, and traction control among others.
2022 Hyundai Tucson Powertrain:
The Indian spec Tucson will most likely come with the option of a 2.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 2.0 litre CRDi turbo-diesel engine, with similar state of tune as the outgoing model. The transmission choices would include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Like the current generation model, the 2022 model will get the AWD option in selected trims.
2022 All-New Hyundai Tucson is the flagship product for the brand in India and is positioned above the Alcazar 7 seater SUV. The new Tucson will be a well-packed SUV and compete against the likes of Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV 700, Jeep Compass, MG Hector and Volkswagen Tiguan in its segment.
