Next-gen Kia Seltos gets a boxy profile instead of angular design in current car It is expected to be slightly longer than the outgoing model Hybrid version confirmed Likely to get 30-inch Trinity Display
The next-generation Kia Seltos is going through intense testing in India as well in foreign soil. It is expected to be launched sometime next year, most probably in the first half of 2026. A new set of clearest spy images reveal interesting details about the all new Kia Seltos.
The latest spy images reveal a bigger and bolder profile of the new-gen Kia Seltos. This further gives weightage to a speculation around next Seltos length to be increased by 100mm. We believe that due to boxy styling, the new model appears bigger than the outgoing model that has more crossover-ish design elements. The present model measures 4,365mm in length, and with an added 100mm, the next Seltos could be around 4.5 meters long. This will make it the longest in the category, even longer than the Jeep Compass.

The all-new Kia Seltos has a boxy profile, featuring flat roof, squarish front and flat lines on side. This is a major departure from the current model that has angular front design and strong creases and curves all around the body. The overall styling seems inspired from bigger Kia SUVs including the Telluride, EV5 and EV9.
The spy images clearly shows a flatter squarish front profile with split headlamp setup LED strip complementing the LED headlamps. It could get connected LED DRLs, which we have already seen on the EV5 concept. Also visible are the front parking sensors, black cladding around wheel arches, new grille and an aggressive bumper that houses a skid plate and a lower air-dam with ADAS module.

The side profile reveals flatter roof, large glass areas, strong beltline, a shark fin antenna and dual-tone ORVM with integrated LED blinkers. The rear profile is heavily covered in thick cloth, but it exposed the newly styled tail-lamps with LED inserts and aggressive lower bumper that has strong black cladding. The completely revised rear gets a newly styled tailgate that houses a 360-degree camera, while the licence plate is moved to lower bumper.
The interior of the new-gen Kia Seltos is yet to revealed in any of the spy images. However, the partial leak suggests that the new model will have a brand’s new design language. The existing model is already feature-loaded and premium, and the second-gen Seltos is likely to be even more premium.
The all-new Seltos is likely to get the 30-inch Trinity Display with dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation, and a 5-inch touchscreen for climate control. The SUV is expected to get new seats, panoramic sunroof, front and rear ventilated seats, electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats, dual-zone climate control and sliding and reclining function for the rear seat. The SUV will offer LEVEL 2 ADAS tech, a 360-degree surround view camera and front and rear parking sensors.
Kia has confirmed that the next-gen Seltos will come with a hybrid powertrain. Korean media reports that the launch of the Seltos hybrid could be delayed, as the production is expected to be pushed to April 2026 in the home market. Earlier, the SUV was planned to enter production line in January 2026. Kia officials confirmed that the next Seltos will launch in India in 2027.
The international-spec model is likely to get a new 1.6-litre GDR hybrid powertrain with an e-AWD option. On the other hand, the India-spec model is likely to get a 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine based hybrid tech. This could be the series-parallel hybrid system, where the engine works jointly with a battery pack and an electric motor to drive wheels.
The standard model will continue to be offered with the existing line-up comprising a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. Gearbox choices to include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic (diesel), a CVT with petrol and a 7-speed DCT with a turbo petrol.
