April 2026 is shaping up to be a busy month for the Indian car market. A mix of new launches, unveilings, and price announcements are lined up across segments. From updated SUVs to long-range electric cars, there is something for every type of buyer this month.

Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Arriving First

Volkswagen Taigun facelift will be one of the first major launches this month, scheduled for April 9. This is the SUV’s first big update since its launch in 2021.

The changes are expected to be subtle but meaningful. Buyers can expect minor design updates, added features, and a more premium cabin experience. A key highlight could be the introduction of a new 8-speed automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre petrol engine.

Mercedes-Benz CLA EV to Boost Electric Lineup

The Mercedes-Benz CLA will mark an important addition to the brand’s EV portfolio in India.

This all-electric sedan will be offered in CLA 200 and CLA 250+ variants. Built on a dedicated EV platform, it claims a driving range of up to 792 km. The model is also expected to come loaded with features like a large touchscreen, glass roof, illuminated grille, and premium seat functions.

Prices are likely to fall between Rs. 55 lakh and Rs. 59 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it as an entry point into luxury EVs.

MG Majestor Launch Momentum Builds

The MG Majestor, which was unveiled earlier this year, continues to build momentum ahead of its launch phase.

Positioned as a successor to the Gloster, the SUV features a bold new design with a more aggressive front look and updated alloy wheels. Inside, it is expected to offer more features and a refreshed layout. Bookings are already open, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in May 2026.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella Price Announcement Soon

Toyota is expected to announce the price of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella this month.

The electric SUV is likely to be offered with two battery pack options, including a larger unit that could deliver a range of up to 543 km. It shares its base with Maruti’s EV platform, and Toyota may also introduce a Battery-as-a-Service option to make ownership more flexible.

Nissan Tekton to Make Its Debut
