BMW India has launched the first-ever BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The introductory ex-showroom price of this iX1 Long Wheelbase model starts from Rs 49 lakhs. Let's look at more information about this newly launched car.
The BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric is not only the biggest car in its segment, but also one of the longest 5-seater SUVs offered in India. The front is striking with the signature BMW kidney grille and segment-leading Adaptive LED headlights that extend well into the sides. The car features a long roof line with Aluminium Satinated roof rails, square wheel arch contours, and 18-inch M light alloy wheels that enhance the overall look. It features the largest Panorama sunroof in the segment as well.
This model brings advances for the interior including extra space for those onboard with enhanced practicality. Also, the interior is enhanced by decorative strips that offer ambient lighting in the instrument panel and front doors as well as satin finish on door handles. The floating armrest with storage also ergonomically integrates the control cluster.
The X1 Long Wheelbase is powered by an electric motor on the front axle, with a single-speed transmission. It is claimed to offer an output of 206 bhp and 250 Nm of maximum torque. The car comes with a compact high-voltage lithium-ion battery of 66.4 kWh that provides a range of 531 km on a single charge.
The car is capable of fast and hassle-free charging, which is:
130 kW DC Charger: 10%-80% in 29 min (120 km added range in 10 min)
11 kW AC Charger: 0%-100% in about 6 hr 30 min
The car offers Parking Assistant via Active Park Distance Control sensors at the front and rear, and Rear View Camera. Apart from that, it comes with ADAS technology, 8 airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, an electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensors among others.
