Honda Cars India has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 1 lakh sales of its Honda Elevate SUV. The model has witnessed remarkable success in both domestic and international markets since its launch in 2023.
Manufactured exclusively in India at the brand's Tapukara plant (Rajasthan), the Elevate SUV has recorded 53,326 unit sales in India, while 47,653 units have been exported to markets including Japan, South Africa, Nepal, and Bhutan (as of January 2025).
Launched in September 2023, the Honda Elevate quickly emerged as a top performer in the competitive SUV space, securing over 20 prestigious automotive awards, including:
- Car of the Year
- Viewer’s Choice Car of the Year
- SUV of the Year
- 53% of sales come from the top-spec ZX variant, which features Honda SENSING ADAS technology
- 79% of buyers opt for the CVT variants, available in V, VX, and ZX trims
- 22% of Elevate owners are first-time car buyers, highlighting the rising aspirations of young Indian consumers
- 43% of customers purchase the Elevate as an additional car in their household

The Elevate also holds the distinction of being HCIL’s first-ever ‘Made in India’ model exported to Japan, expanding the company’s global footprint. It has become HCIL’s top export model, significantly boosting international sales.
Since the commencement of Elevate exports in 2023, HCIL’s export business has witnessed a 65% growth in FY 2023-24 and an impressive 92% growth in FY 2024-25 (April ’24 – January ’25), reinforcing its commitment to producing global-quality vehicles from India.
