At the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, Hyundai showcased its hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle - NEXO in India. Though this car is quite unlikely to launch in our country, the showcase can be seen as a commitment by the brand to explore alternative fuel tech.
Let's have a further look at what this Nexo hydrogen fuel-cell car offers:
The Nexo offers quite a distinctive design with large LED light bars, flared wheel arches, and low-set headlamps. As for the rear side, the car has triangular taillights positioned at the edges of the vehicle.
Hyundai Nexo is measured to be 4.67 meters in length, 1.86 meters in width, and 1.64 meters in height with a 2.7-meter wheelbase. The car is quite spacious with dimensions that make the interior comfortable.
As for the features inside the cabin, the car offers leatherette upholstery, dual digital displays, and connected car technology. Along with advanced safety tech like a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS.
The Nexo is powered by a 120 kWh battery pack that uses hydrogen to produce electricity with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). The car is said to deliver 161 bhp with 395 Nm of torque.
Even though the Nexo is very unlikely to be launched in India in the near future, it presents us with the potential for mobility in the future. Further, this car would be a great alternative to standard fuel-powered vehicles.
