• Mahinda introduces the updated 1.2-litre mStallion TGDI engine with the XUV300 TurboSport • Gets cosmetic updates to enhance the sportiness • Inspired from the Mahindra Super XUV300 used in INRC
Bringing sportiness to the sub-compact segment, Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the XUV300 TurboSport with a new mStallion TGDI engine. Priced at Rs 10.35 lakh (ex-showroom), the car features major mechanical changes along with a sportier cosmetic packaged and the new brand logo. The company claims this four-wheeler to be fastest ICE SUV under Rs 15 lakh.

Like with most sporty models, the Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport get red highlight accents all around the car include the front grille. The chrome on the four-wheeler has been mostly replace by gloss black elements along with a dual-tone exterior paint scheme. Moving the inside, we get to see an all-black cabin, black leatherette seats and chrome pedals. The new model shares its interior layout and styling with the current XUV300 and shares equipment like the infotainment unit, dual-zone AC among others.
In terms of safety, the XUV300 TurboSport gets a 5-star GNCAP safety rating, 4-disc brakes, front parking sensors, 6 airbags, ESP with hill start assist, ABS, passenger airbag deactivation switch, ISOFIX seats and Corner Braking Control.

One of the biggest changes on the new model is the addition of a third engine option. The new 1.2-litre TGDI turbo petrol engine produces a class-leading 130 bhp and 230 Nm of torque. In addition, the new powertrain gets a transient over boost function that momentarily increases the peak torque to 250 Nm providing an overall exhilarating drive. This over boost function helps the SUV clock the 0-60 kmph sprint in under 5 seconds while also delivering a high fuel efficiency.
The new TurboSport will be available only in the top-of-the-line W6, W8 and W8(O) variants. The pricing ranges from Rs 10.35 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new models will be offered with four new colour option that includes 3 unique dual tone combinations - Blazing Bronze with black roof, Napoli Black with white roof, Pearl White with black roof top.
