New Honda City Revealed - Launch This Week

New Honda City launch scheduled this week Facelift gets sharper styling and connected LED DRLs New features and hybrid powertrain to continue

Honda Cars India is getting ready to launch the updated Honda City this week, and ahead of its official debut, the sedan has already been revealed through dealership sightings and fresh videos online.

The updated model has started arriving at Honda showrooms across India, giving buyers an early look at the sedan’s refreshed styling and new features.

The upcoming facelift brings noticeable cosmetic changes, especially at the front, while continuing with the same petrol and hybrid powertrain options.

Sportier Front Design Gets Attention

One of the biggest highlights of the new Honda City facelift is its redesigned front fascia.

Honda has given the sedan a much sharper and sportier look compared to the outgoing version. The updated model now comes with slimmer projector LED headlamps along with sleek LED daytime running lamps.

The sedan also gets a connected LED DRL strip running across the front, which gives it a more premium appearance.

Another major update is the new gloss black grille design. The front bumper has also been redesigned and now looks more aggressive with sharper styling elements.

While the overall shape of the sedan remains familiar, Honda has added newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels that help freshen up the side profile.

Cabin to Get New Features

Inside the cabin, the overall dashboard layout remains largely unchanged, but Honda is expected to add a few new features with this update.

The new City facelift could come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system along with ambient lighting on the dashboard. Other expected additions include ventilated seats, connected car technology, and a 360-degree camera.

The sedan is also likely to continue offering premium features like automatic climate control, leatherette upholstery, electric sunroof, and Honda Sensing ADAS.

Rear Design Also Updated

Honda has also made subtle changes at the rear of the sedan.

The updated City continues with the same LED tail lamps, but it now gets a body-coloured rear spoiler that gives the car a sportier touch. The rear bumper design has also been revised with sharper styling details and a diffuser-like finish.

These updates make the sedan look more modern while still keeping the familiar City identity intact.

Petrol and Hybrid Engines to Continue

Mechanically, Honda is expected to carry forward the same engine options with the facelift.

The regular petrol model will continue with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. Buyers will get both 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options.

Honda is also expected to continue the City e:HEV strong hybrid version. It uses a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 124 bhp and 253 Nm. The hybrid version comes with an e-CVT transmission.

Launch Scheduled This Week

Honda will officially launch the updated City facelift in India later this week.

With its sharper styling, updated features, and hybrid option, the refreshed City will continue to compete against rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia in the mid-size sedan segment.
