New-gen Hyundai Creta features new design, larger dimensions and upgraded tech. The SUV will get a strong hybrid powertrain. 

The next-generation Hyundai Creta will be one the biggest new car launches of 2027. Ahead of its official debut and launch, the all-new model is undergoing extensive testing and has been spotted several times, revealing intriguing details. The latest spy shots come from South Korea, showcasing the SUV’s massive road presence and larger dimensions.

New Design Language

The new 2027 Hyundai Creta will draw major design inspiration from the Hyundai Crater concept, including thick body cladding around the wheel arches, a faux skid plate, muscular built and an upright bonnet. It appears the thick LED DRLs (daytime running lights) treatment is similar to the new Hyundai Santa Fe and Tucson.

The next-gen Creta also features Venue-inspired LED headlamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels, connected LED taillamps with pixel-type elements and newly-designed tailgate. Dimensionally, the SUV will be longer, wider and more spacious than the current model. Hyundai might also introduce new colour schemes to the lineup.

Larger Screens & More

2027 Hyundai Creta Interior Spied

The biggest upgrade will be the debut of Hyundai’s all-new Pleos Connect screen along with the brand’s new steering wheel with the ‘four-dot’ logo. Spy images suggest that the new 2027 Hyundai Creta will upgrade to the larger display screen setup with an improved user interface. Features such as the new seat upholstery, an updated ADAS suite, redesigned door trims and adjustable headrests for rear seat occupants could also be part of the package.

New K3 Platform

As mentioned above, the new Hyundai Creta 2027 will offer more generous cabin space than the current model, thanks to its new K3 platform. This all-new K3 architecture, which also underpins the new Kia Seltos, supports advanced technologies and enhances overall crash safety of the vehicle.

Petrol, Diesel & Hybrid Options

The 2027 Hyundai Creta lineup is expected to retain the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L turbocharged diesel engines. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will also be on offer.

According to reports, the next-gen Creta could become Hyundai’s first strong hybrid offering in India. While official powertrain specifications are still under the wraps, reports suggest that Hyundai might use an electrified version of the 1.5L petrol engine or an all-new 1.2L turbo petrol engine. The same powertrain will also be used for the upcoming Hyundai three-row premium SUV (codenamed Ni1i).
