Kia India has started production of the new gen Kia Seltos at its Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh. The company has confirmed that prices for the new Kia Seltos will be announced on January 2, 2026, with deliveries starting soon after. This marks a major update for one of Kia’s most popular SUVs in India.

The Anantapur facility is special for Kia, as it is where the original Seltos was first produced in 2019. Over the years, the plant has become a major hub for both domestic sales and exports. With advanced automation and strict quality checks, it continues to support Kia’s global plans. The start of production here signals the importance of the Kia Seltos 2026 in the brand’s lineup.
The 2026 Kia Seltos is bigger than the outgoing model. It measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. These changes make it the longest and one of the widest SUVs in its segment. The increased size improves cabin space, road stability, and overall driving comfort, making the new Seltos feel more planted on the road.
On the outside, the new gen Kia Seltos follows Kia’s latest Opposites United design language. Highlights include the new Digital Tiger Face, Ice Cube LED projection headlamps with a welcome function, and automatic flush door handles. Sporty alloy wheels with neon-finished brake calipers add to its bold look, giving the SUV a more muscular stance.
Inside, the new Kia Seltos gets a big upgrade. The main highlight is the large 30-inch panoramic display that combines the instrument cluster and infotainment system. It also comes with a Bose 8-speaker premium sound system. Other features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Smart Key with proximity unlock, Kia Connect 2.0, and over-the-air updates. These updates bring a more premium and connected experience.
The Kia Seltos 2026 is built on Kia’s India-first global K3 platform. This platform offers better structural strength, improved crash protection, and lower noise levels inside the cabin. Ride comfort and handling have also been improved. Safety is a key focus, with 24 standard safety features and Level 2 ADAS offering 21 autonomous functions.
Powertrain options remain familiar. The latest update on Kia Seltos includes a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. These are paired with manual, dual-clutch, and torque converter automatic gearboxes. The SUV will be available in HTE, HTK, HTX, and GTX trims, along with option packs and the sporty X-Line version.
With its bigger size, updated design, and feature-rich cabin, the new gen Kia Seltos is set to strengthen its position in the mid-size SUV segment when it launches in early 2026.
