The Nissan Magnite facelift has been launched in India and is available in the price bracket of Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact SUV comes as an affordable alternative to several premium sub-4 meter SUVs on sale in our market. It rivals the likes of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger and Maruti Fronx.

- The Magnite is one of the most affordable SUVs in the sub-4 meter category. It is available in six variants - Visia, Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna, and Tekna+. The Magnite facelift is priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
- The Renault Kiger is the another affordable model you can buy in the sub-4 meter SUV category. It is available in the price bracket of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11.23 lakh. On the other hand, the Maruti Fronx is priced at Rs 7.51 lakh for base variant and Rs 13.04 lakh for the range-topping variant.
- The Hyundai Venue petrol range starts at Rs 7.94 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.53 lakh. On the other hand, the Kia Sonet petrol version is priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 14.92 lakh.

- The new Magnite is 3994mm long, 1758mm wide and 1572mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2500mm. The SUV offers a boot space of 336-litres. It rides on 16-inch wheels.
- On the other hand, the Kia Sonet measures 3995mm in length, 1758mm in width and 1,647mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,500mm. It offers a boot space of 392-litres. Its Korean-sibling, the Hyundai Venue, is 3995mm long, 1770mm wide and 1590mm tall. The Venue offers a boot space of 350-litres. Both SUVs ride on 16-inch wheels.
- Renault Kiger is based on the same platform as the Magnite. It measures 3991mm in length, 1750mm in width and 1605mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2500mm. Despite being compact in size, the Kiger has a boot space of 405-litres.
- Maruti Suzuki Fronx has the longest wheelbase in its category that's 2520mm. It is 3995mm long, 1765mm wide and 1550mm tall. This crossover offers a boot space of 308-litres.

- The Nissan Magnite is offered with 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine in both naturally-aspirated and turbocharged form. The naturally-aspirated unit produces 71bhp and 96Nm of torque, while the turbo engine is good for 99bhp and 160Nm of torque. The torque output drops to 152bhp when paired to an automatic gearbox. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual as standard, an AMT with naturally-aspirated and a CVT automatic with turbo.
- The Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet shares the platform and engine options. Both models are offered with 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engines. While the former is good for 82bhp and 115Nm, the later produces 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. Kia Sonet offers multiple gearbox options including manual, clutchless manual (IMT), and 7-speed DCT. On the other hand, the Venue is available with manual and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
- Renault Kiger shares the 1.0L NA and 1.0L turbo petrol engines with the Magnite SUV. On the other hand, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is offered with 1.2L naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol engines. While the former is offered with a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit, the turbo unit with smart hybrid tech is mated to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
