The Harrier EV will hit showrooms in March 2025. The EV is reported to get a 75kWh battery pack. Its interior and exterior will be slightly different from the ICE-powered Harrier. The electric SUV will come with both V2L and V2V charging capabilities.
Tata Motors is all geared up to display its upcoming product range at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show, scheduled to take place from 17th to 22nd January in New Delhi. At the event, the indigenous automaker will showcase three major SUVs including the production-ready Harrier EV, Safari EV and Sierra EV/ICE. The Tata Harrier EV will be the showstopper, which will also be the first product launch from the brand this year.
While its official specifications and details will be revealed in the coming days with its public debut, a fresh media report claims that the EV will be offered with a 75kWh battery pack and dual motor, AWD (all-wheel drive) configuration. However, the dual electric motor with AWD setup will be reserved for the top-end Empowered trim. This electric SUV will come with the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities. Tata will also equip the Harrier EV with rear independent suspension, a rear electric motor and a terrain response system offering multiple modes. The report further states that the Harrier EV’s production seems to be underway.
Following the Punch EV and Curvv EV, the Tata Harrier EV will be the third electric offering from the OEM to underpin its Acti.ev (advanced connected tech intelligent electric vehicle) platform. This architecture is said to be designed to optimize cabin space and battery’s energy efficiency. It supports FWD, RWD and AWD drivetrain systems. Earlier, Tata did mention that its Acti.ev platform-based electric cars will be capable of offering a range of up to 600km. These EVs can be charged via 11kW AC and DC fast charging of yo to 150kW.
The spy and leaked images hint that the Tata Harrier EV will have slightly different styling than its ICE version. It will feature a blanked-out front grille, aero-optimized alloys along with a few more EV-specific cosmetic upgrades. Inside, the Harrier EV will have features similar to its ICE version including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 360-degree surround camera with blind spot monitoring system, a digital instrument cluster, a Level 2 ADAS suite, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, a four-spoke steering wheel and more.
