Tata Motors has introduced Red Dark Editions of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari SUVs for its customers in the country. Similar to other Tata Special Editions, changes here are mainly cosmetic. However, the Harrier and Safari have received a major update to its feature list and safety equipment. Let us take a look at the key changes that would make the Dark Editions stand out from other Special Editions of these SUVs from the past.

The Red Dark Editions get a new ‘Oberon Black’ body colour, with the Tata Harrier and Safari getting a red insert on the front grille and red brake calipers. The Nexon Red Dark Edition on the other hand provides red inserts on its front air dam along with red surrounds for its fog lamps.

Tata Motors has provided the Red Dark Edition SUVs with ‘Carnelian’ red seat upholstery alongside contrasting gray trim for the dashboard. In terms of features, the Nexon offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, ambient lighting, a sunroof, ventilated front seats, auto climate control, TPMS, and more.
As for Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions, Tata has given some noticeable and welcome updates to the SUVs’ interiors. Both now get a new, larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, and a driver’s seat with memory function. The Safari now also offers second-row ventilated seats, red ambient lighting around the door handles and panoramic sunroof.
In addition to these, the automaker has introduced ADAS-tech on the Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions. This includes Auto Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Assist, Forward Collision Alert, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

There is also a 1.5-litre turbo diesel as part of the package which is capable of churning out 115 bhp alongside 260 Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
